Operations Expertise Inc. has been in business for two years and provides operations and manufacturing expertise to companies on an on-demand basis. O E Group’s philosophy is to tap into the knowledge of people with strong experience and positive track records in their respective fields. In many cases, these are people who have recently retired from successful careers. Client companies benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience that can be brought to them without committing to permanent positions with high salaries.
O E Group prefers to take a proactive approach and provides detailed assessments of the operations of the business as a basis for identifying opportunities for improvements. O E Group then provides manufacturing expertise to assist the client company in the specific area requiring improvements.
Currently, O E Group has a president and four main consultants, all having extensive experience in domestic and Japanese manufacturing. Other consultants are brought in as needed. In the first year, this group assisted Ontario manufacturers to achieve over $12 million in cost reductions and generate over $100 million in new business. Our client base is located in Canada, USA and Germany.
In addition, the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in conjunction with the APMA have engaged O E Group to assess the operational effectiveness of 50 Ontario manufacturers and benchmark them against domestic and foreign counterparts. This assignment is approximately 70% complete and preliminary results have been published.
